MCCo ENERGY EFFICIENCY GRANT FUND

The MCCo Energy Efficiency Fund (EEF) is a $3 million revolving grant fund that provides up-front capital for projects that reduce Member Institutions’ environmental impact through energy efficiency efforts. Basic project eligibility guidelines state that projects must result in energy savings to a facility served or committed to be served by MCCo and have a payback period of five years or less. Accepted projects should be completed within two years of award date. In order to replenish the fund to catalyze additional efficiency projects, MCCo will add a facility upgrade surcharge to participants' monthly bills which will include an administrative fee of 1.5% on grant awards. Surcharge terms and amounts will take into account projected energy cost savings and payback periods.
